Since Intrastat was introduced in 1993, CSD has been a reference point in this field too.
Through one of our dedicated departments, we prepare, process and file Intrastat declarations (covering intra-EU trade) electronically with the Italian Customs Agency, for clients in any Italian province who have given us authorisation.
Intrastat returns report trade in goods and services between VAT-registered businesses in European Union countries. They are filed electronically with the Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency for tax and statistical monitoring of intra-EU trade. The obligation to file these returns was introduced in 1993, when customs barriers between Member States of the European Community were abolished.

Changes since 2022
Since 1 January 2022, several changes have been introduced to both the forms and the instructions for Intrastat returns, in particular simplifications stemming from developments in EU rules, aimed at making this obligation easier for traders.
